York have been fitness pioneers for over 80 years.
From a strong weightlifting heritage, York expanded into home fitness, whilst continuing to produce an array of equipment for commercial gyms and professional sports teams.
From weight plates and dumbbells through to treadmills and cross trainers, York can be your complete training partner.
York Fitness 13 in 1 Utility Bench
The York Fitness 13 in 1 Utility Bench is one of the most versatile pieces of home gym equipment available. The only bench your home gym needs!
Thanks to a multi-functioning pin system you can use your bench for a diverse number of exercises. The bench can be easily adjusted into 13 different positions from decline to flat and up to a 70 degree angled incline.
- 4 incline positions
- 3 decline positions
- 4 hyper-extension positions
- 1 bicep curl position
- 1 flat position
- Folds flat into a storage position
- Folded height: 19cm

Pin Adjustment System
The bench can be adjusted into different positions by simply removing and adding the included pins.
An easy-to-follow instruction manual provides guidance before this process becomes entirely second nature and your workouts take on a new level of versatility.

Padding
Thanks to the foam padding around the leg support, exercises can be performed in comfort.
The bench includes a deep cushion upholstery seat and backrest, built in knee padding and thick foam roller ankle supports.

Flat and Storage Position
The York Fitness 13 in 1 Bench folds into a standard flat position. However, it also uniquely folds into a storage position (bottom photo) and so is designed to suit your home.
When configured into the storage position, the bench has a height of 19cm, meaning it can slide easily under most beds and saves space extremely effectively.

Bicep Curling Pad
The seating pad ingeniously flips to form a useful bicep curling pad. A few adjustments to the pins and your 13 in 1 Utility Bench adds yet another usage to help you perform another fundamental muscle building exercise.
Use any York Fitness dumbbells, pictured here with York Vinyl Dumbbells, to perform this exercise.

Diverse Adjustment Possibilities
Incline Positions
Easily reset the York Fitness 13 in 1 Bench into four different incline angles. Varying the angle on exercises such as the bench press is a highly efficient way to maximise muscle gain and to keep your workouts interesting.
Decline Positions
Following the same principle across 3 decline positions. With these decline positions you can perform different chest exercises and more including angled sit-ups on the bench for a tough core workout.
Hyper-extension Positions
Often neglected in gyms, the hyper-extension pad will provide three different angles and completes the unique range of workout possibilities that the York Fitness 13 in 1 Bench provides.
Excersise Suggestions
Incline Bench Press
Whether flat, at an incline or a decline, the York Fitness 13 in 1 is an excellent choice to work on bench pressing movements. The variety of angles will help you develop your entire chest and keep your workouts fresh and exciting.
Angled Sit-Up
Whilst in an incline position with your feet supported underneath the ankle pads, you can use the 13 in 1 bench to perform angled sit-ups. This is an intense core workout that, when integrated into a regular regime, can product some serious results.
Hyper-extension
With the Utility bench you can practice the Hyper-extension movement and begin to strengthen a vital area of your physique, whilst also working your glutes and hamstrings. Alter the angle to change the depth of the hyper-extension.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 April 2013Having read the previous reviews (which vary from 'wow this is brilliant' to 'you need a team of engineers to use this thing') I was a little hesitant - but I'm so glad I bought it! This is going to improve my home workouts immensely.
Main things I love:
- It folds so flat, so very easily. I immediately found a simple place to store it even in my horribly overcrowded home
- So many variations of position - a proper decline setting? Hyperextensions? Less than £100?! I even found a couple of uses that aren't in the manual...
- Very solidly built for the price point and a useful length (though I am female, 5' 9" and only weigh 60kg-ish, it feels like it could handle a heck of a lot more than I'm capable of throwing at it)
- Simple to use - this does have the caveat that if you are not a mechanically inclined kind of person it may be trickier as the instructions are possibly not the best designed, but once you get the basic principles it really is not hard. Contrary to the manual it really doesn't need to be laid on its side to adjust either - the simple incline/decline positions are the work of moments, and even the more complicated hyperextension setup takes less than a minute.
The only mild annoyance was that it came without the means to put the ankle support on (unless you have super strong fingers - the locknut defeated me). However, digging out a set of spanners wasn't too hard and it didn't take long to get going. All in all I have to say this is my best home gym purchase to date, and I'm really looking forward to using it for a long time to come.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 February 2016For the casual user this is perfect! Ive been benching for 25 years & work at a gym, but wanted something for the home that i could fold up, (as it turns out i keep it in the garden under a waterproof cover).
Its a well made bench, solid and comfortable, its a bit of a faff moving it up and down and sliding the pins in & out, there is not a lot of wiggle room with the pin holes, so it requires a firm hand, plus you have to hold the bench to prevent it from collapsing whilst moving the pins to a different hole. If the bench is flat and you want to move it to incline you must move both upper bench and seat pins, but its not a big deal, you soon get used to having to do this.
For the price, this bench is a bargain, no its not as smooth to transition the bench up and down, but this bench is for home use and therefore its not going to be as good as the commercial ones that you will see at the health clubs & gyms, those ones are left out all the time and do not require folding up and putting away. The padding is firm and bench secure, at no point have i felt like its going to collapse on me and could easily handle heavy dumbbell pressing, I'm currently only benching lightly with 16kg TNP Hexa Hex dumbbells (£50 from Amazon) but will be buying heavier ones over time.
Im 6"2 and 90kg, and fir this bench just fine, feet tuck in under the foot pads snuggly. Those foot roll pads are a tad wobbly and foam pads can slide off easy if you pull them, but thats not gonna be a problem whilst benching.
Id have to problem in recommending this bench for home use, does a great job!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 June 2012Look around. Seriously. Shop about. I can tell you for nothing that you're not going to find a weight bench which is such good quality at such a good price.
The York Hyper Bench is a very sturdy, stable bit of kit. I've never yet felt unstable or uncomfortable when I'm benching my max on it. And the added beauty of this piece of equipment is that it adjusts to all of those different positions. Incline? Pull a couple of pins and you're there. Seated? Pull a couple of pins and you're there. Preachers? Pull a couple of pins and you're there. Decline?... Well, you know the drill by now.
Don't listen to the naysayers who are whining on about how "difficult" it is to go from one setting to the other. Seriously... if you've owned this for more than a couple of weeks, it becomes second nature adjusting it to the setting which you want and it won't interupt your work-out at all. You don't need to tip it on it's side or it's end. Granted, you'll have to go down on one knee to adjust the pins (and probably hold one of the legs as you do it) but if you can't bend over to do that, what are you doing owning a workout bench in the first place?
So, sturdy, stable, easy to adjust. Have I mentioned the quality? It can't be faulted. Nicely stitched, nicely padded and very comfortable. I'd have had no problem paying a lot more for mine than I actually did.
I highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars panca

5.0 out of 5 stars Banco muy completo

Exactly what I was expecting, good build quality and highly adaptable to a wide range of exercises. A little expensive but worth every penny.
Would definitely recommend this to a friend.
