UFC Austin ‘Dariush Vs. Tsarukyan’ + Weekly MMA Report

There was no UFC last week, but Cage Warriors 164 brought many high-level combats. We have new title owners – Liam Gittins out-edged Reece McEwan, while Dario Bellandi scored a unanimous decision win over the former title owner Mick Stanton. We will focus on the best stoppages on the night too.

Chris Bungard stopped Perry Andre Goodwin in the first round, while Darren Stewart destroyed Antonio Zovak after less than two minutes. Naglis Kanisauskas put on a dominant performance against an undefeated Chris Douglass, whose return after an eight-year layoff didn’t end well.

UFC Austin Announcement

This might be the best fight night event so far. The main card is stacked with high-level names, while the clash between the former UFC champ Miesha Tate and Julia Avila headlines the prelims. You will see many clashes of epic Octagon warriors.

The main event will bring the battle between Arman Tsarukyan and Beneil Dariush. Young Arman is one of the best wrestlers at 155, and Dariush might have a hard time if the combat gets dragged to the canvas. Beneil suffered a KO loss to Charles Oliveira, and the Armenian has improved his striking, so Arman should get the edge in this fight – he is stronger thanks to his hard gym sessions.

Prediction: Arman to win

Dan Hooker is injured, so Jalin Turner will replace him against very dangerous striker Bobby Green. Turner is long and hard to hit, but Green’s long-range punches create a lot of damage. He turned the lights out on control fighter Grant Dawson, his punches are extremely dangerous. One way or another, this will hardly last for five rounds.

Prediction: Green to win
