UFC Fight Night ‘Allen Vs. Craig’ + Weekly MMA Report

UFC 295 was one of the best cards in the history of the sport. We’ve seen two stoppages in two title bouts. Tom Aspinall is the new interim UFC heavyweight title king after his lightning-fast knockout victory over Sergei Pavlovich, while Alex Pereira sits on the top of the 205-pound weight class following his second-round TKO win against Jiri Prochazka.

UFC 295 Awards

Both Tom Aspinall and Alex Pereira won an extra 50k and the Performance of the Night awards. The Fight of the Night bonus was given to Viacheslav Borshchev and Nazim Sadykhov, who took part in a great technical battle.

Three additional POTN bonuses went into the hands of Benoit St Denis, Diego Lopes, and Jessica Andrade. Benoit steamrolled Matt Frevola, while Jessica Andrade pulled out a massive upset against BJJ black belt Mackenzie Dern. Diego Lopes scored an early knockout win against submission expert Pat Sabatini.

UFC Fight Night ‘Allen Vs. Craig’ Announcement

After a lovely event in New York, the UFC returns to Las Vegas, Nevada for another pretty much promising event. There are 14 lovely bouts next weekend in the middle of the Mojave desert, and the card is headlined by the clash between two ground experts – Paul Craig and Brendan Allen.

Brendan Allen is known for excellent back control and fantastic ground strikes. He pulled out a massive upset against submission specialist Andre Muniz, but his stand-up skills are good too. This fighter can fight anywhere, against any opponent, so this fight could be very fun to watch.

Paul Craig scored many submission wins at 205, but he decided to drop to 185 after a TKO loss to Johnny Walker. His middleweight debut went well. The Scottish submission fighter scored a ground-and-pound win against Andre Muniz, and he looks very confident at the moment.

Prediction: the fight will not go the distance

The co-main event brings the combat between hard-hitting Ecuadorian hillbilly Michael Morales and an all-around fighter Jake Matthews. Both of these guys are very strong fighters thanks to spending hours in the gym. This battle could last for three rounds.

Prediction: over 2.5 rounds

In the main event of the evening, an undefeated cardio specialist Yaroslav Amosov will try to defeat dangerous wrestler Jason Jackson in a welterweight title match. Amosov has already defeated many high-level wrestlers in the past, so this shouldn’t be a difficult fight for the Ukrainian Octagon warrior. Amosov is one of the strongest fighters in the division thanks to his very hard gym workouts.

The bantamweight belt fight looks more intense, as a very dynamic striker and former UFC fighter Sergio Pettis will square off against defensive specialist Patchy Mix. This will be a technical fight, but Mix should steal the victory in the championship rounds.
