Cage Warriors 164 ‘Stanton Vs. Bellandi’ + Weekly MMA News

Last week was pretty fun for the world of mixed martial arts. The UFC brought many excellent high-level battles.

Amanda Ribas banked an additional 50k for a wild comeback win in the style of Edson Barboza! Brendan Allen shocked the world and UFC head honcho Dana White with a submission win over BJJ God Paul Craig, which brought him extra money too! Other bonuses went into the hands of Jeka Saragih, who floored his opponent via big right hand, and Joanderson Brito, who surprisingly finished dangerous Jonathan Pearce via ninja choke against the fence.

We’ve also seen a massive upset in the main event of Bellator 301, where Jason Jackson defeated the former champ Yaroslav Amosov in the best performance of his life!

Cage Warriors 164 Announcement

After a lovely event, UFC is taking a one-week break, but don’t be sad! There is a lovely Cage Warriors 164 in Newcastle, England. Here is a great fact – 18 great battles will take place, and we’ll see three title fights! This is one of the greatest events in the history of the promotion!

In the main event of the evening, the reigning defending 185-pound champ Mick Stanton will try to stop dangerous Italian all-around fighter Dario Bellandi. Stanton is a cardio machine with a great ground game, and he can fight for five rounds. This might be a dangerous challenge for the Italian fighter if the combat advances into the later rounds.

Bellandi is known for powerful punches and lovely kickboxing, but his cardio and ground game are questionable. He’ll be looking for an early knockout victory against the champ.

Prediction: the fight will not go the distance

The co-main event of the evening is going to be a lovely war between two technical fighters – Liam Gittins and Reece McEwan. This is a great pairing, both of the guys are evenly matched. Both Octagon warriors are coming ready for this fight, they will not get tired thanks to their endless hours in the gym. This might be a 5-round combat.

Prediction: over 2.5 rounds
