LFA 149 “Bunes Vs Horiuchi” + Weekly MMA Report
There was no UFC last week, but we enjoyed two pretty high-level events. In the Bellator-Rizin cross-promo event in Japan, every single Bellator warrior scored a decision win in the main card. Yet, the best stoppage was seen in the combat between Hideo Tokoro and John Dodson, where the former UFC star placed a perfect punch that put his opponent to sleep.

Cage Warriors 148 was way more entertaining to watch. In the preliminary card, we’ve seen a title owner change at 125, as Shaj Haque turned the lights out on Sam Creasey in the third.
🏆 We have a NEW Flyweight champion and his name is Super Shaj Haque!

Tobias Harila scored a surprising knockout despite being an underdog. The former UFC fighter Wilson Reis edged out his opponent in the co-main event of the evening thanks to his amazing cardio and wrestling skills.
The former UFC 205-pound fighter Modestas “The Baltic Gladiator” Bukauskas scored a lovely knockout victory in the main event of the evening against Chuck Campbell, and became Cage Warriors light heavyweight champ for the second time! That right hand landed right on the button!
He has done it! Modestas Bukauskas is champion again 🏆

We’ve got sad news for you – there is no UFC this week, but LFA 149 is going to air at UFC on Fight Pass, so please, be patient, one more week and we’ll enjoy the greatest promotion in the world!

In the main event of the evening, the dangerous submission expert from Brazil Felipe Bunes squares off against a very tough Japanese competitor Yuma Horiuchi. This is a striker vs grappler match-up, but don’t underestimate Horiuchi’s choking skills, as he scored his last victory via rear-naked choke. Also, let’s hope Bunes’ cardio improved now, as he suffered many decision losses due to his poor cardio skills and slowing down in the third round!
Prediction: the fight will not go the distance
The co-main event of the evening sounds interesting, as an undefeated Ben Tynan meets very strong Henrique da Silva. Tynan is undefeated thanks to his great fight IQ, but da Silva is one of the most powerful guys in the game, his fists can create heavy damage – he’s a kill-or-be-killed fighter!
Prediction: the fight will not go the distance
