UFC Vegas 62 “Grasso Vs Araujo” + Weekly MMA Report

There was no UFC last week, but the Cage Warriors 144 was a superb event with many finishes and high-level match-ups.

Michele Martignoni outworked legendary Dominique Wooding for a decision win and became the new 135-pound champion. Madars Fleminas was on the verge of victory over the former UFC star Carlo Pedersoli, but the Italian recovered in the second for a submission finish.

The main card brought two more stoppages. Dylan Hazan came out victorious against De Filippis, ascending the score to 9-0, while Jasmine Favero came out victorious against tough French striker Awa Sow. Her Americana was on point on Friday!

But get yourself ready, the greatest MMA promotion in the world stays in Sin City for another stacked night of action. It will get underway on Saturday, October 15th, 2022, at 4 PM ET. The place is UFC Apex Hall, in the middle of the Mojave desert.

The main event of the evening brings a fabulous technical scrap between Viviane Araujo and Alexa Grasso. Alexa hits harder and has excellent cardio thanks to her Spartan workouts, but Araujo can take a beating. One way or another, this could last for 5 rounds.

Prediction: the fight goes the distance (-200), or Grasso wins (-205)

The co-main event of the evening looks very interesting, as Marc Montoya’s prospect Jonathan Martinez meets dangerous takedown defense specialist Cub Swanson. Cub’s cardio is always on point, but Martinez is a very scrappy fighter with superb sweeps and transitions. Swanson’s defense should endure. If you love technical wars, please don’t miss this bout!

Prediction: the fight goes the distance (-138), or Martinez wins (-195)

Here is the look at the whole fight card, but please check this link too because of potential last-minute changes.

Here are my predictions for the upcoming UFC Vegas 62 card:

This card looks weak on the piece of paper, but please don’t judge the book by its cover. Many stoppages could happen, especially in the preliminary card. Sit next to your watching device on Saturday at 4 PM ET and enjoy watching the fastest-growing sport in the world!
