UFC Paris + Weekly MMA Report
There was no UFC last weekend, but there was some high-level action in the world of MMA. The former 11-time UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson avenged the loss to Adriano Moraes and knocked the Brazilian out cold with a violent knee against the fence in the main event of ONE On Prime. Brutal walk-off knee stoppage in the fourth!

This weekend, the greatest MMA promotion in the world travels again across the pond, making its official debut in the “City of Lights”. The UFC has never taken part in Paris before, so this is a historical moment for the fastest-growing sports on the planet! Say hi to Accor Arena in the capital of France!

The event is going to air on ESPN+/UFC On Fight Pass, depending on your geolocation, with the beginning at noon ET (5 PM UK time). The main card gets underway at 3 PM ET (8 PM UK time).
The event is headlined by a high-level heavyweight scrap between heavy-handed Tai Tuivasa and technical warfare specialist Ciryl Gane.
Gane’s Muay Thai background and tricky moves and footwork might be too much for Tai Tuivasa. The hours of resistance training might make a difference because heavyweight fighters usually fight toe-to-toe and rarely choose to circle the opponent and play technically. On the other hand, one cannot question Tuivasa’s power, as he knocked out the hardest-hitting hillbilly at 265, Derrick Lewis.
Prediction: the fight will not go the distance (-260), or Gane wins (-540)
The co-main event of the evening is set for two 185-ers – the former middleweight champ Robert Whittaker and the all-time greatest Italian mixed martial artist Marvin Vettori. Marvin can take a beating but Robert is a master of long wars and technical scraps. One way or another, this one is going to last.
Prediction: the bout goes the distance (-220), or Whittaker wins (-230)
Here is the look at the whole fight card, but please check this link because of potential updates too.

[…] The last weekend in Paris was a night to remember. Great fights, and world-class stoppages. All French fighters came out victorious. Great debut for the promotion in the “City of Lights”! […]
