UFC Singapore ‘Holloway Vs Korean Zombie’ + Weekly MMA Report

UFC 292 didn’t bring many high-level battles. Instead, we watch a lot of technical wars, where Octagon warriors were trying to outsmart each other. Yet, we’ve seen a massive surprise in the main event of the evening, where Sean O’Malley destroyed Aljamain Sterling to win the UFC 135-pound belt.

UFC 292 Rewards

Something very rare happened at UFC 292. Despite Weili Zhang failed to finish Amanda Lemos in a five-round strawweight title bout, Dana White liked her performance and rewarded her with extra 50k. The second POTN winner was Sean O’Malley, who smoked out Aljamain Sterling with a massive counter-right and hammer-fists on the ground.

The Fight of the Night award went into the hands of TUF finalists Cody Gibson and Brad Katona. The two participated in a three-round total war, where Brad Katona came out victorious.

UFC Singapore Announcement

After a fair PPV event in Boston, the UFC is traveling across the pond to Singapore for another UFC fight night event. This time, it might be in a bad time for the USA fans, as the prelims get underway at 5 PM ET, but it looks like a pretty much promising card.

UFC Singapore Holloway Vs Korean Zombie

In the main event of the evening, a former UFC featherweight champion and probably the best UFC boxer at the moment, Max Holloway, will try to outwork the all-time greatest Korean mixed martial artist, “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung. Chan can take a beating, he’s known for his amazing chin and tremendous heart, but Max’s striking game is on a whole different level. The Hawaiian fighter shouldn’t have a hard time here.

Prediction: Holloway to win

The co-main event of the evening looks a bit more interesting, as BJJ black belt known for his brutal toughness Anthony Smith squares off against hard-hitting hillbilly Ryan Spann in a rematch. The two have already fought once, and Smith scored a first-round submission win.

Smith is very technical, he’ll wait for a perfect opportunity. On the other hand, Spann is looking for a one-punch KO, so this one should be very interesting to watch.

Prediction: the fight will not go the distance
